There are many free materials available on the Internet that you can reuse for your work or for your own projects. But it’s not always easy to find them, or even recognize them. Welcome to the world of free works: let’s see what they are, how we can recognize them, and how we can find them. We’ll also talk about how to make your own works free, and what implications (positive and negative) it can have for you.
Among other topics, we’ll cover the following:
- Copying, reusing, is not (necessarily) bad
- What are free works?
- Can I use a free work in my projects?
- The main free licenses
- Locating free works: images
- Locating free works: audio
- Locating free works: videos
- Locating free works: other elements
- How to make my work free (and what I gain from it)
