The Council of Government of the Rey Juan Carlos University approved, in its meeting on December 18, the new Open Access and Culture Regulation. This regulation establishes the operating bases of open publication platforms at the University, and sets up an Open Publication Council to promote and organize their use.
The University already had, for some time, BURJC Digital, the open publication archive managed by the Library, with URJC TV, where free videos can be deposited, with the virtual classroom, where subjects can be published openly, with URJCx, which offers open courses, and with other platforms. This regulation establishes the principles of open publication across all these platforms, following the principles of the institutional declaration from a few months ago, and the University’s long trajectory in this area.
